Father’s Day Gift Guide
The gifts your father will really want
By Aonika Laurent Thomas
Don’t do it. Don’t wait until the last minute to find a Father’s Day gift to only come up with well, a dud. I agree daddies can be difficult to shop for, but listen – dads are awesome.
Dads will open a gift of a back scratcher, soap on a rope, a mug that says the worlds greatest dad, a hand-drawn picture, a tie … and still be grateful. That’s what dads do. They smile and just take it. It’s the thought that counts, right?
Were you really thinking about Daddy when you bought him a tape measure? I guess if he’s a handyman that works. A thoughtful gift giver doesn’t have to break the bank. You just have to think. It’s your father, the father of your children. You know this guy. You get this guy. He holds it down and lifts you up. He is present with your children and takes pride in being a father and all that goes with it. That guy. Your guy!
I know to some Father’s Day is just a Hallmark holiday. But if you’re going to do it, give it some thought. I thought of a few great Father’s Day gifts to help you out.
