  1. hi Stacy I wanted to know if you think stretching is good for those with arthritis I keep asking my doctor but they don’t know me exercising is boring to me now I get really bored and if it hurts I’m not going to do it so what do you think is best for me I have rheumatoid arthritis so you know if I’m hurt and I’m not going to want to exercise but I know I need to exercise and stretch my body out so I won’t get stuck so give me your ideas

    1. Hi Angelett,

      I’m sorry to hear your suffer from RA, but I’m so happy you’re taking an active role in your health. Every person is different… and so is their RA. Flare ups can happen due to stress, weather, and yes, activities like stretching and exercise. In my experience, stretching RA patients has produced nothing but positive outcomes, so I think you should try it! My advice to you is to go slow, listen to your intuition, and….less is more! Start with one stretch a day. See how your body reacts. Maybe even take notes so you can remember which stretches you like and which don’t really serve you. I suffer from chronic fatigue, and for some reason, upper body stretches sometimes make my pain worse. I can’t tell you why that is! I just listen to my body and decide what’s best for me that day. It changes day to day. Start slow. Build slowly. Give your body time to rest between activity. I think you’ll feel better if you do that! Keep me posted!
