Success don’t come from chasing what you like. It comes from honoring what you were born to do.
Let me tell y’all something that’ll save you a lot of heartache and wasted time: Just because you love something don’t mean it’s what you’re supposed to be doing.
I see a lot of young folks out here talking about “I’m chasing my passion.” But hold up now — is it your gift or just something you like?
See, I’m passionate about golf. I love the greens, the carts, the outfits, even got a whole golf simulator and putting green in my backyard. But let me tell you something — I’m not gifted at it. I still can’t hit that ball where I want it to go, and don’t even get me started on that sand trap. (laughs)
Now the Bible — and y’all know I go back to the Word — the Bible don’t say your passion will make room for you. It says your gift will make room for you and put you in the presence of great men. Not your hobby. Not your side hustle. Your gift.
Too many of y’all out here pushing your passion like it’s purpose. Nah. Passion fades. Emotion changes. But your gift — the thing you do better than anybody else with ease — that’s the key.
Let me ask you something: What comes naturally to you? What do people always compliment you on? What do you not have to force?
That’s your lane. That’s your grace. That’s where God’s got your favor.
So stop trying to force something you like, and start building on what you were built for.
Trust me: Your success is hiding inside your gift.

You ain’t gotta be everything to everybody. Be excellent at the one thing you were designed to do — and watch the doors open.
