I’m one of the original Kings of Comedy and have told jokes in front of crowds bigger than that. I always had the dream but my family and friends did not. If I would’ve listened to them I wouldn’t be where I am now. Sometimes you just have to listen to yourself and follow your dreams.

I told the same $25 a night jokes over and[...]One decision cost me everything I had at one time in my life. I lost everything, my family, friends, became homeless, lived in my car for 3 years. BUT I had a vision and I pursued it. The first time that I walked into Hilarities Comedy Club at 27 years old and won amateur night, I knew this was the thing I wanted to do for the rest of my life. You have to take chances in life, if you don’t take chances in life you’ll never have the life God has for you.
