You’ve got to discover your God-given gift. Your gift is the thing you do the absolute best with the least amount of effort. READ THAT AGAIN. As soon as you discover that… your life changes.
At the time I didn’t know it… but God was preparing me for something big. Sometimes things can look bad but God is behind the scenes lining things up for you.

October 8, 1985, my friend Gladys picked me up and took me to the comedy club. I won amateur night and $50. I cried… I was reborn that night… I knew that this is what I was going to do for the rest of my life. I’ve never looked back. You have to have the courage to JUMP!
Haters motivate me. If they are talking about you, that means you’re doing something. Keep your head focused and write down your dreams and goals on a vision board.

My motivation is changing kids’ lives through my foundation, The Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation. I talk more about motivation than I do about comedy. I am in the “calling” part of my life. I tell people all the time, create a vision board. Habakkuk 2:2 “Write the vision, and make it plain.”
