One decision cost me everything I had at one time in my life. I lost everything, my family, friends, became homeless, lived in my car for 3 years. BUT I had a vision and I pursued it. The first time that I walked into Hilarities Comedy Club at 27 years old and won amateur night, I knew this was the thing I wanted to do for the rest of my life. You have to take chances in life, if you don’t take chances in life you’ll never have the life God has for you.
If you are struggling and looking for a way out and you’re a little lost. God is in the forgiving business. God is in the get your life together business. God is in the make your dreams come true business. God is in the accept you as you are business.
We all fall short when it comes to perfection. Form a relationship with God, just the way you are. God will take you just the way you are. That’s grace, God’s unmerited favor.

Stop thinking that your life is over because you’re a certain age or you aren’t where you want to be in life. You’re never going to get where you want to be in life if you give up. God’s will is that you prosper. God is able to bless you abundantly.
Most people don’t have what they want because it isn’t written down. Habakkuk 2:2 says “Write the vision and make it plain.” But remember, “FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD.” After you’ve written down what you want. DO THE WORK.

I started talking to God about my dreams… Fast forward, out of nowhere I get a call from the Apollo asking me to come on the show. That same night I met D.L. Hughley, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and Jamie Foxx for the first time. We were all comedians that went on that night. This is my Apollo story and how I became the host. This was my turnback moment.
